Midway PCA Young Adults
“We though many are one body in Christ”
Romans 12:1-8

The Midway PCA Young Adult group has been meeting now for four years. God has blessed this ministry as the Word has been the foundation of this fellowship. In the beginning, there would sometimes be only 3 or 4 young people, other times it would be a few more. God gave us the faith to continue to be there no matter how many showed up. There were times when we would get discouraged and I would want to quit. We knew there were young adults out there, but where were they going? God has blessed the ministry and the numbers have grown, but not only that, the fellowship with these tremendous young people is amazing! Every Thursday we meet for pizza, fellowship and to study God’s word. We prayed for younger, mature help with this ministry and God brought Justin and Elizabeth Hecht. They are both great ministers in this fellowship! I don’t believe there are any volunteers in the Church, so Justin and Elizabeth were called to this ministry just like we were. Justin has been a blessing in sharing the word with me to the young people on Thursdays and Sundays. Then He sent us Brett Edwards (great last name, but he says no relation). Brett has also been a blessing as he shares bringing forth the Word with Justin and I. I believe it is a pretty good combination! Almost as good as James, Bob, John and Lindsey of the old young adults!

The group continues to grow and last Sunday we had to go look for more chairs! This is a switch, as usually other classes come and get our chairs! Currently we are studying Galatians on Thursdays and 1 Peter in Sunday School. This summer the group has really grown (lots of people home from school)! We attended a Braves game on July 23rd and have a lake day planned on July 30th. Our annual Ocoee raft trip will be on August 6th.

This covenant fellowship ministry has been blessed by God because everyone involved has been given a measure of faith to continue blessing one another. My prayer is that our complete church at Midway can have the fellowship that we see in these young adults. Please continue to pray for this ministry and encourage other young adults to meet with us on Thursdays at 7:30 PM in the Fish House and for Sunday School.
