University Ministry Background Prior to working with MTW in Australia, David was involved in youth ministry and singles ministry in the United States, and was a PCA teaching elder.

Ministry Update

God is at work in Australia! David and Susan believe the most strategic area for reaching Australia is the university campus. Within a four- year period students make decisions concerning their career, family, and religion. These students are the future leaders in the Australian community and home. The University of Queensland has been recognized as the top university in all of Australia. David and Susan feel as they present the Gospel to the future leaders of Australia, and as they come to follow Christ, the whole of Australia will be affected.

On Sunday evenings they hold a campus meeting, which averages 75 students weekly. This year they have taught through the book of Colossians as well as the meaning of the kingdom of God and our role in it. Many of those who attend do not know Christ. Bible studies and ministry training are held throughout the week. David is on campus four out of seven nights, which is the best time to reach students.

David and Susan are convinced that for this ministry to last and flourish Australian leadership must be found. Over the last year they have hired three Australian staff members and look to hire two more in the next year. God is raising up laborers for the harvest fields!

Praises

This year David and Susan have seen tremendous growth in their ministry. There have been encouraging advances in the number of students hearing the Gospel, because their students are being trained in how to share Christ and then are actively doing it. Praise God for the growth and unity among the Christians in the ministry. Praise God for the Australian staff He has provided.

Pray for Their Ministry

Please pray for God to raise up strong laborers among the university students. Pray for finances for future staff. Pray for a true movement of the Holy Spirit on the campus of University of Queensland.

Pray for Those They Serve

Pray for Steve Tait, Matthew Stewart, and Malt Gregora. Pray that God would grow them deep in the faith. Pray for Peter, Copper, Baracca, Yean, Luke, and Marty. Pray that they would follow Christ.

Pray for Them

Please pray for unity and love in their family. Pray for their next baby due March 1, 2002. Pray for God to teach them to be loving and wise parents. Pray for wisdom and discernment for future decisions. Pray for their ministry to their neighbors (Ian and Andrea, Keith and Megan, Murray and Tracy), that they would follow Christ.
