Rob majored in philosophy at UGA, graduating in 1993. He was a youth minister at Clemson Presbyterian Church (PCA) in South Carolina from 1993 to 1996. Rob studied at Westminster Theological Seminary from 1996 to 1999 and received a Master of Divinity degree. The Presbyterian Church in America called him to serve with Reformed University Fellowship at UGA in 1999.

Ministry Update Reformed University Fellowship

(RUF) is the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America. Their goal is to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. They believe that Scripture is God’s revelation to humankind for this very purpose, with power to transform lives through the Spirit, revealing God’s gracious salvation found in Christ alone and received by faith alone.

RUF at UGA began its third year of ministry this fall. This year they have added two interns, John Craft and Leslie Logan, as well as an international chapter of RUF under the oversight of Jeff Thompson, a fellow campus minister RUF began the year with a record number of freshman. At their first regular meeting in August they had over 120 students.

This semester Rob will be teaching through Ephesians, emphasizing the believer’s connection to Christ, and how that connection creates community the church as believers relate to one another.

Rob and Angie are grateful for the opportunity to minister to many new students, and for the interns who will be a great help this year.

Pray for Their Ministry

Pray that the RUF interns will adjust to being in a new city and a new ministry. Pray also for students new at University of Georgia, that they will find fellowship with Christ and be encouraged in Christ through relationships with other believers. Please pray that their ministry at UGA will grown extensively, as God, through Christ, reclaims that which is lost. Pray as well for their continuing financial needs. Pray that God would develop a core group of students who would be able to offer leadership in various areas of the ministry, including small groups.

Pray for Those They Serve

Please pray that true community, which only the Gospel can generate, will become a part of the RUF campus ministry, and that this will be a witness to the secular university community where there is so much division. Pray also that students would learn to make godly decisions as they face choices now that will set the course for their lives. Pray that they would have wisdom and a world-view developed from God’s word.

Pray for Them

Pray for Rob and Angie as they raise their two young daughters, that they would do so modeling the Gospel before them in word and deed. Please pray that God will display His strength even in the midst of their weakness and failures.
