Since returning to the States in 2000, Tom has been helping African American churches in Birmingham, Alabama to develop AIDS ministries in their communities.

He is developing a Christian medical clinic for the indigent in the inner city of Birmingham, Alabama in partnership with a local African American PCA church.

In October 2001, Tom will be making his third trip in a year to Nairobi, Kenya to work with several African churches in developing their AIDS ministries.

Praise God that Tom has come this far with these ministries. Many obstacles have already been overcome.

Pray for Their Ministry Please pray for wisdom for Tom and Connie on how to continue to truly be able to equip the church both here in the United States and in Africa to minister to those dying from ADS and their families. Pray that they can clearly communicate, with love and grace, that Christ is the only hope for this horrible pandemic. Pray that God would work out the logistics for getting the construction started for the Birmingham clinic and for the clinic to be authorized.

Please pray that the Edwards family would be able to adjust to the U.S. culture. After one year back in the States it is still difficult for them, and they continue to miss people and theft life back in Africa.
