Alan grew up in India where his parents served as missionaries with MTW. After graduating from Covenant College, he taught at Christ’s College in Taiwan for two years with MTW/Impact. Believing the Lord was calling him to career mission work in Asia, he returned to the States for further education. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary and is finishing an M.A. in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from Columbia University.

ChingLien is from Taiwan. After working seven years as a journalist for a Taipei newspaper, she came to the States for higher education. With a passion to win the lost for Christ, she went to Columbia Biblical Seminary in preparation for career ministry. The Lord’s call to return to Taiwan with the Gospel was confirmed for ChingLien when she met Alan, who was preparing for ministry in Taiwan.

Ministry Update

The Fiols serve at Christ’s College, a four-year Christian liberal arts college overseen by the PCA. Theft on-campus ministries include teaching English and Bible, and evangelizing and discipling students one-on-one. Off campus, they evangelize and participate in church ministries. They are also involved in translating theological works from English to Chinese, internet evangelism, and journalistic work with a local Christian newspaper. Alan and ChingLien are eager to bring the good news to this very needy country.

Praises

Alan and ChingLien praise God for her mother’s salvation and for her father indicating faith in Christ also. They also praise God for students’ lives touched with the Gospel at Christ’s College, and a number of professions of faith and baptisms.
