Harry was a pastor and Christian school headmaster until 1992. He is now the Developer of International Ministries at the PEF Center. Harry also makes regular trips to Bulgaria to teach church leaders and lead evangelistic Bible studies in the villages. As an expansion of his ministry in Bulgaria, Harry has also begun pastoral training seminars in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Ministry Update

In the spring of 2001, Harry and Julie traveled to Bulgaria. Harry met with Pastor Kulochev, the president of the Congregational Union of Churches, seeking his acceptance of their ministry for the churches in that union. In the past the PEF team’s work was with the Baptist churches. After discussing Harry’s ministry objectives and theology, Pastor Kulochev invited Harry to minister among the Union’s congregations. Their work with the Baptist churches will continue, but now additional fields of service are open. The Millers have two seminars scheduled in Bulgaria in November.

The Bulgarian PEF team includes the Millers, Ivan Dimitrov, Kyril Mitcev and Emanuel Tinev. Ivan has planted congregations in seven villages and has done evangelistic work in another ten. Kyril is Ivan’s assistant. Emanuel works in the Congregational Union leading evangelistic and discipleship Bible studies in addition to preaching.

Praises

Praise God for the gift of land for a Biblical study center in Bulgaria. Praise Him for much improved health, and ever widening opportunities for ministry in Eastern Europe.

Pray for Their Ministry

Please pray that the Lord will give Harry and Julie good health and strength to continue this ministry; and that He will give Harry insight into the Scriptures as he prepares for future seminars in Bulgaria. Pray that God will provide financially so that they may travel to Bulgaria five or six times each year. Pray that they may be able to provide computers for pastors there, and that each PEF team member will be fully funded.

Pray for Those They Serve

Please pray that those Harry and Julie train in the evangelism seminars will continue to do evangelism, and that recent converts will grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Pray that Christians will remain faithful to the Lord during this time of persecution and oppression in Eastern Europe. Pray for the success of the new venture of growing cotton and corn to provide extra income for the Bulgarian villagers.

Pray for Them

Harry required cataract surgery on his right eye which was completed on February 5, 2002 and was very successful. Please continue to pray for God’s provision in all things.

Please pray for grace and wisdom for the decisions that lie ahead. Pray that Harry and Julie will not become weary in their work for the Lord and will serve Him in ways that promote His glory among the nations.
