Ministry Background
Becky joined Mission to the World in 1989, and has been teaching at Christ’s College in Taipei, Taiwan for ten years.
Ministry Update
Becky had the privilege of teaching British Literature to all of the senior English majors during the last school year at Christ’s College. She also worked with freshmen in composition, advised a senior class, and led dorm devotions.
Christ’s College is an MTW organization. It is a four-year liberal arts college whose goal is to reach students for Christ and to train Christians for ministry. It has five academic programs including English, Business Administration, Mass Communications, Music and Information Management. Most of the faculty have a Masters or higher level degree. In addition to their professional activities, teachers have specific ministry responsibilities which include individual counseling and Bible studies. Outside of the school Becky has enjoyed working in the leadership of a spiritual retreat group called Tres Dias.
Praises
Praise God that a new dormitory at Christ’s College is almost completed. Praise Him for great Tres Dias weekend spiritual retreats at which God touched the hearts of many freshmen and senior students.
Pray for Her Ministry
Please pray for God to bring the students of His choice to Christ’s College. Pray for more effective work one-on-one and in small groups with students. Pray that God will continue to provide staff and faculty for Christ’s College.
Pray for Those She Serves
Please pray that the newly graduated seniors will be strongly established in churches and have fellowship with Christians as they leave our Christian college environment and enter a very pagan and complicated society.
Pray for Her
Please pray that Becky might maintain her focus on Christ always. Pray for safety and effective ministry, and for renewed vision and energy for the school year.
