Midway Nursery Ministry
In our Nursery
... our Sunday School classes are beginning the study of the birth of
Jesus followed by His ministry and miracles. Teaching our two and three
year olds to know that Jesus is God's Son, to thank Him for all our
blessings, and to follow Jesus by loving Him are just some of our aims
in the Nursery Ministry for the next few months.
Psalm
143:10a says, "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God." Serving
the Lord in the Nursery Ministry is a wonderful example to our covenant
children. They learn more from our actions than from our
words.
Be a volunteer and we will schedule you only one Sunday every 6 to 8
weeks. Your reward may come immediately from cuddly hugs and snuggly
friends to read to and you will be rewarded knowing that you have
touched a life for eternity! Please feel free to fill out a
Nursery Volunteer Response Card located in the pew rack and place it in
the offering plate.
We will have a Nursery Volunteer
Training Session on the first Wednesday back in January, on the 6th at
5:30 to 6:30 in the Nursery Resource Room.Pizza, sodas and other
refreshments will be served. If you are 10, almost 10, or older and
need to attend our training class, please email or call Jennifer

OUR NURSERY MINISTRY GOAL:
To trust the Lord Jesus Christ in providing for
this
special ministry. Childcare is what we do, but in
the
light
of eternity, we provide consistent opportunities for parents to know
and
grow in their knowledge of Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We provide
opportunities for whole families to serve the Lord in a playful, fun
way, and therefore they model being the Lord's servants to the Nursery
children. Most importantly, we teach our covenant children to
pray and sing, and about God and His Son using the GCP curriculum for
the
2's and 3's.
INFORMATION TO PARENT'S:
Times:
Nursery is provided on Sunday mornings for Worship Services and Sunday
School from 9:30 to 12:15 p.m. Nursery is also provided during
Wednesday evening Bible Study & Adult Choir Practice from 6:50
p.m. until
8:15 p.m. and Tuesday morning Bible Study meets every
Tuesday for WIC Bible Studies, first and third Tuesdays for Lydia
Circle, and on the third Tuesday for
Ruth Circle from 10:00am to Noon.
Ages: The
nursery is provided for newborns to three-year old children. Care of
children four years of age (before Sept. 1 of the year) and older is
provided by the Children’s Ministry through their educational
programs.
At Check In: Pagers
will be
provided to the parent signing in the child. If the nursery
staff
has a question/problem concerning your child, the pager will vibrate
and you should return to the Nursery area. Please remember to
exchange your pager to receive your child. A security tag will replace
the pager if your child has become used to the Nursery Ministry and
doesn't require further comfort.
Nursing Moms:
A Nursing
Room is available near the nursery Patio Welcome
Station for nursing mothers. A changing table with
supplies
is also available in the Lambs room for your convenience. A
monitor is available upon request to monitor the sermon while
feeding. Stop at the Nursery Station to enter the Nursing Mom's
Room.

teaching through GCP curriculum
called
"Show Me Jesus" taught by these
talented families: Patti & Phil Schrock, Cindy

Kim Washington, and Nikki Allen.
RESERVATIONS NEEDED FOR SPECIAL EVENTS:
Please, if you are planning to bring your
Nursery
aged child during any of our Special Events, call to reserve a place
for
your child.
