Ken and Annie met in 1999 and married in Annie’s hometown of LaFayette, GA in 2002. Ken is a native of Southern California and came to Georgia by way of the University of Miami, with a major in international relations. His first job out of college transferred him to Atlanta. Annie graduated from Young Harris College (1996), The University in Georgia (1998), and then worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta until 2009.
Ken worked in Corporate America/finance for almost 20 years. When Ken and Annie married Ken started sensing a call to ministry. Their pastor at the time advised Ken to explore any other desires he had before becoming a pastor, so Ken went back to school and received an MBA from Emory University (2009). In 2012, after the arrival of their second daughter, Ken continued to sense even a stronger call to ministry. Last year (2017), Ken started Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) full time. Ken, Annie and their girls moved from Peachtree Corners to Powder Spring this past July (2018) for Ken to serve as the Children’s Director at Midway.
Ken and Annie have 3 daughters, Katie (2009), Lindsay (2012), and Sarah (2015). Katie is a 3rd grader at Vaughan Elementary and Lindsay is enjoying Kindergarten there as well. Katie’s hobbies include gymnastics and reading. In the past she has really enjoyed taking piano lessons. Lindsay loves to laugh and make others laugh. In the past, she has enjoyed taking ballet and tap lessons. Additionally, Katie and Lindsay have enjoyed participating on the swim team. Sarah loves to dance and is always up for a good book, a game of Candy Land or Hi Ho Cherrio.
Ken and Annie are grateful for the opportunity to serve at Midway. They feel very blessed and are appreciative by everyone’s warm welcome. They look forward to growing in the Lord and are grateful for a church home where they, along with their girls will be taught in spirit and truth.
