Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study

Teacher: Carol Combs | Tuesdays, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. | 1987 Sanctuary | Free

The Women’s Weekly Bible Study will begin the study of Jeremiah on Tuesday morning, January 19th at 10:00 in the 1987 sanctuary.  Taught by Carol Combs, the study will continue each Tuesday morning through May 18th.  All ladies are invited to attend; childcare from birth to 5 years will be provided.

Who was Jeremiah and what was his message?  Jeremiah was a prophet sent by God to the nation of Judah to warn them of coming judgment.  Judah repeatedly followed a pattern of falling into idolatry and then returning to worship Jehovah, but there was no true national repentance.  Jeremiah would witness the destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of his people to Babylon.  Why had this happened and what was the future for Jerusalem?  God spoke to His people through the prophet Jeremiah to confirm His covenant and the hope His people have in Him.  The study of Jeremiah will show us the fullness of God’s character, the depth of our sinfulness, and the riches of our new covenant.  As we face difficult situations today, we can take comfort in Jeremiah’s message.
Ladies of all ages are encouraged to join us for this study.  During our weekly time together, we will observe strict social-distance seating.  Masks will be worn upon entering, exiting, and moving about the sanctuary; they may be removed when seated. Thank you for observing these guidelines even if you do not agree with it personally.  It will allow ladies to attend who feel uncomfortable in other environments.
